Approve or decline a leave request

Carers ask for leave from the app. The request waits for the office in Today.

Rolling out These steps use the new HomecareOS screens, which are being switched on agency by agency. If your screens look different, call us on 01905 674704 and we will walk you through it.

Steps

  1. Open Today, then Leave requests

    Requests waiting for a decision are listed under Waiting.

  2. Check the dates

    Each request shows who else has asked for the same dates, so you can see whether you can cover it.

  3. Approve or decline

    Choose Approve, or Decline. HomecareOS asks you for a reason before you decline.

  4. Cover their visits

    Once leave is approved, that carer's visits in those dates need cover. See Cover a sick carer.

  • Requests decided in the last 90 days are listed under Recently decided.
