40 UK Care Policy & Procedure Templates, Already Written

Most agencies inherit a Word folder of stale policies last touched in 2018. homecareOS gives you a living, breathing policy library instead: 40 policy and procedure templates designed in line with how the platform actually works, filtered to the nation you are registered in, every policy editable in your own words, every staff acknowledgement timestamped. Your existing policies upload into the same library, so nothing gets left behind. You adopt, edit and publish, and the next inspector sees a tidy audit trail instead of a panic.

The new homecareOS Quality overview, with incidents and safeguarding, complaints, audits, inspection readiness, staff compliance and policies on one screen

Stop Writing Policies. Start Adopting Them.

40 Templates, Built Around the Platform

40 policy and procedure templates for UK domiciliary care, designed in line with how homecareOS actually works: the lone working policy points staff at the carer app, the medication policy points at the Medications module. Filtered to the nation you are registered in, with separate Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland versions where the law differs.

One-Click Adopt

Pick a policy, click adopt, and it becomes your agency's own editable document. Print or download it and your logo, agency name, address, contact details and regulator number are applied to the header automatically.

Your Wording, Your Document

An adopted policy is a live document, not a locked file. Rewrite any section in the browser, and every policy shows the date it was last edited so you can see what is current at a glance.

Staff Acknowledgements

Push a new or updated policy to staff and track who has read and acknowledged it, by name, by date, with a full audit trail. No more printed sign-off sheets.

Version-Tracked Template Library

Every template carries a version number you can see before you adopt it. We maintain the library centrally, so when a template's wording moves on you can adopt the current version and edit it to fit your service.

Inspector-Ready PDFs

Export any adopted policy as a PDF on your own letterhead: your logo, address, regulator registration number and the date it was last reviewed. Hand to inspectors. Email to commissioners. Print for your wall. Done.

FAQ

Care Policies and Procedures: Frequently Asked Questions

What you get, how they stay current, and how they hold up at inspection.

You get 40 UK home care policies and procedures covering the areas a domiciliary agency is assessed on, all written and ready to adopt. Alongside them the library carries how-to guides for the matching homecareOS screens, plus ready-to-use record templates such as the Mental Capacity Assessment Record, Best Interest Decision Record and Repositioning & Turning Chart.
The library is filtered to the nation you are registered in, and the areas where the law actually differs have their own versions. Scotland gets the Adult Support and Protection Policy, the Adults with Incapacity Policy and the PVG scheme. Northern Ireland gets AccessNI, its own mental capacity policy and an RQIA statement of purpose. Wales gets its own safeguarding and complaints policies and a CIW statement of purpose. The policies shared across all four nations are written to UK-wide good practice and currently quote CQC regulation numbers, so outside England you will want to change those references when you adopt. See four-nation compliance.

We maintain the template library centrally and every template carries a version number. When we revise a template you can adopt the current version into your library and edit it to fit. Your existing policy stays exactly as you published it until you choose to replace it.
