Carer: record medicines (eMAR)

The eMAR on your phone shows only the medicines due at this visit, plus any as-needed (PRN) medicines.

Live Every agency has this today.

Steps

  1. Open Medications on the visit

Tap Medications. Medicines due this visit are listed first, then As needed (PRN).

  2. Read any warning

If HomecareOS shows a warning before you give a dose, read it before you go on. Allergies, controlled and high-risk medicines are marked.

  3. Choose the outcome

Record what happened, for example Given, Refused, Withheld or Missed. Add a note if it helps.

  4. For a PRN medicine, give the reason

    Say why you gave it.

  5. For a patch, mark the site

Tap the body map to record where the patch was placed.

  6. Submit

The dose is recorded against the visit with your name and the time.

Good to know

  • If a second carer needs to witness a dose, the app asks for them.
  • No signal? Doses are kept on your phone and sent when signal returns.
